Episode 6:   Tatakae Domon! Chikyuu ga RING da!
(Fight Domon! The Earth is the ring! )

Domon is sipping saki in a shrine somewhere in the Neo-Japan colony. He is talking to a monk. The monk commented that Rain has not yet arrived. Domon is alarmed but not for long because the drink was spiked. His vision blurring, he readily fainted.

The next moment, he is lying in a sofa being woken up by someone. It is the guy in the picture. Domon, unable to believe his eyes, asked the guy if he is really his brother, Kyouji. The guy laughed his assent. Domon then hugged him.

In a darkened room, two guys converse. It is Dr. Mikamura and Lieutenant Urube. They are talking about Domon's lack of focus at his main mission.

Back in the supposed Kasshu Residence, Kyouji is showing Domon around. They passed by the Mikamura residence to see Rain in the verandah dressed in casual clothes and looking on. Kyouji then asked Domon if he recalls Rain, his childhood playmate. He commented how lovely she'd grown over the years and how jealous he feels of his little brother. Domon, in awe, mumbled his agreement uncertainly.

They all joined in to eat (Kyouji, Domon, Rain, and Domn's parents). They talk about Domon's ten years training with Master Asia and his shuffle badge. Domon confess being oblivious to the badge. He said they just entrusted him with the title King of Hearts. Kyouji then announced that they also have achieved their goal. Dr. Kasshu joined in and said they will show Domon after the meal. To this, Domon's mother intervened that work should be discussed later and that they should just celebrate Domon's homecoming. Domon thankful at his mother's tact proceeded to gobble up the food, praising his mother for being the best cook ever. His mother replied that if he think so then he should stay and keep his mother company from now on. Rain, unnoticed, departed from the scene. Getting to the door, she couldn't keep the tears from falling anymore. Behind her, the scene changes revealing the dining room a mess and Domon alone, laughing and talking to no one in particular.

Rain walking back to their own house was intercepted by her father. Dr. Mikamura told Rain she should not go because she is needed. Rain then broke out and said she could not keep the deception anymore. Dr. Mikamura advised his daughter to hang on because Domon needed to concentrate on his primary mission. The last fights proved how he enjoys the fighting but keeps on forgetting his goal.

Back in the simulated Kasshu residence. They all gathered at some dark work room. Turning on the lights, Dr, Kasshu revealed a huge gundam. They are all admiring the gundam when some men broke in. It is the military come to arrest Dr. Kasshu for treason. Dr. Kasshu claimed the charge false, but was cut short when they heard Kyouji laughing. Kyouji said he never thought they would know about it this soon. He then turn around and with a flick of his finger, the gundam began to move, shooting at the military. Domon's mother implores Kyouji to stop. Behind then, one officer was in the act of shooting Kyouji. The mother notices this and sets herself in front of Kyouji, shielding him from the shot. Dr. Kasshu is shocked. Domon rushes forward to catch his mother. Behind him, Kyouji jumps on the gundam. Domon calls out to his brother saying their mother is dead. Kyouji indifferently looks on and then turns his back on Domon. Domon is in shock at this cold treatment.

The scene shifts back to Dr. Mikamura and Lt. Urube. They all watch the scene in some screen. To this enters Prime Minister Carot. Carot then criticizes Lieutenant Urube for letting the gundam get away in the first place. He also expressed his misgiving at their chosen gundam fighter. He said there is no guarantee that when Domon actually face Kyouji, he will be able to kill him. So he decided to step in and propose they submit Domon in some sort of a simulation test to see if he is qualified for the job of hunting down his own brother and the devil gundam. He used a phantom mobile suit that will act as the Devil Gundam in Domon's eyes. Mikamura expressed his concern at such deceit while Lt. Urube sits back seething with Carots criticisms of him. On the other hand, Carot merely laughs at them, holding a remote controlling the phantom mobile suit.

Outside the colony, Domon is suddenly in the cockpit of Shinning and in hot pursuit of Kyouji, calling out to his brother and expressing his confusion. He cannot seem to accept Kyouji capable of such and is pleading for him to stop. The Devil Gundam merely ignores his pleas and proceed to attack Shining.

Rain on the other hand decides she cannot stand by and do nothing, takes out the gundam carrier to help Domon out. Meanwhile, Domon finds himself unable to attack Kyouji. The Devil Gundam holds him a deathlike grip. Just when it seems that Shinning will will be crushed, the carrier maneouvered by Rain intervened setting Shinning Gundam free. In the process, the glass which protects the control room of the carrier shatters and Rain finds herself pulled out grom the carrier by the explosion. Domon is alarmed. He hallucinated that instead of Rain, it is his mother falling down from the shot meant for Kyouji. This sends him over the edge and turns to face Kyouji for the first time.

Rain's body reared to a juncture of the colony and holds on and watched the fight. Dr. Mikamura, alarmed as well, calls for back up to pick up his daughter.

Back to Domon. Domon's body started to glow with a red light signifying his anger. His hair going up in a devilish manner and his eyes shining with fury. Shinning Gundam glowed through, illuminating the universe. Everyone was surprised. Carot asked what this is, to which Dr. Mikamura explained this to be the real power of the Shining Gundam. Domon's fury triggered the so called Super Mode, Shining's ultimate weapon and capability.

Back to Domon, pulling out his sword, the blade grew longer enough to slice the Devil Gundam, defeating it. In his berserk state, he harshly warned Carot not to do this again. Carot, surprised, asked since when was Domon aware of the whole deception. Domon ignores this and forced Carot to promise never to attempt this again. Mad at being thwarted, he unwillingly gave his promise.

Domon, reaching to get Rain, told her to get ready because they are going back to earth.

        THE END

Crawford's Comments

After five episode of torture, at last some light. This episode gives us a view of the real underlining story of G Gundam. Its depth so to spoke. Who'd think it? Fromt the first five, you'd think it's merely Street fighter with no brains and full of brawns. So you have a story. One that is gutwrenching and very promisingly different. There are still messy spots needed answering. And you can tell there is still lots to know because we are only looking at Domon's limited view what with him being away for ten years and all. The nice part about this episode, although just one, it reveals a lot of depth. First thing revealed here is the identity of the guy in the picture. It is Kyouji kasshu, his brother wouldn't you know it. Okay, so there's a resemblance. But heck, this is an anime, who cares about resemblance anyway. Another thing revealed here is Domon and Rain's relationship. What at first looks like pure masochism on her part is actually genuine concern over a childhood chum. Promising. I smell a subplot. Thirdly, we find out why domon is chasing after Kyouji. Poor guy. To come home, only to witness the death of his mother, the sentencing of his father, and the blacklisting of his brother. Worst, its all his beloved brother's fault. Hard to credit, hard to accept. I do feel bad about the guy. But i still think it doesn't excuse his bad behavior. Am I making sense? I feel like doing another summary. Okay, I'll try to comment. About Rain's casual wear. I read a site saying it looks cute. Sorry, I particularly think its weird. As if the dressmaker couldn't find anything else to put in and have to make do with scraps. Its annoying because I happen to like Rain. What else? Kyouji looks good? It's crazy but I think he's probably the best looking guy in the series. And besides, don't he look cool when he controlled the Devil Gundam via a mere finger snap? Oh yeah, doncha think Domon looked more like the devil himself in his angry Super Mode than Kyouji ever does? Seems he should be the one piloting Devil. Lastly, the plot revelations, its great. I love soap operas with really tasty stories. And this one fits the bill.
