Episode 5:   Daidassou! Toraware no GANDAMU fighter
(The Big Escape! The Prisoned Gundam Fighter )

In a bar, Rain is asking round for Domon. It seems Domon went ahead to Russia and is now missing. The bartender explained that most foreigners, especially those who ask too many questions, end up holed in the prison island beyond the iced sea and was never heard of from again. Rain looks outside, beyond the snow falling heavily, to the solitary island, obviously worried.

In the island, in a dark room, three person in military black uniform interogate the tied Domon. Nearby, a few bill and the picture of a guy lay spread on the table. The man doing the asking ask Domon who he is and what's he doing in the island. He stubornly insisted on being a mere tourist and knowing nothing to which he was treated to some beating for his trouble. The guy then picked up the picture and ask him about it. All of a sudden Domon, managing to untie himself, took hold of the guy and broke his arm. Declaring to the others present if they want him to keep his arm they better call a doctor, He broke into a run to escape. The second man turn to follow but was detained by the other guy, a green haired woman saying its all been taken cared of. Outside Domon starts to worry at the lack of alarm in the prison. Breaking to a run, he was surprised to see a big man lounging outside. The guy stands up, manacled and all. Domon seeing this a threat, fights the guy. Surprisingly, the guy simply takes his punches unhurt. Grabbing Domon up in a bearhug, Domon fainted. When he woke up, he is in a crammy cell with a guy. The guy then begaan to tell tales about the prison, saying it is known for being a graveyard of Gundams. It seems the Russian military imprisons fighters and takes their gundams. They study the gundams of other countries and from then developes their own. The guy then ask Domon if he is a gundam fighter, if so then where is his gundam? To which Domon ignores and accuses the guy to being a spy for Neo-Russia.

Back to Rain, she is currently huddled in the core lander and is talking to her father. She complains about how hard-headed Domon is. her father insist she be patient and try to put some sense into Domon as to what his primary goal is. She then say its hard because Domon never listens to her.

Meanwhile, the Russian officials are anxious to learn from their newly acquired prisoner. The green-haired woman assures them saying she already have a spy on the job

Next day, all prisoners are lined up at the table to eat. Domon suddenly spots the big guy who attacked him and jumps up in the table to punch him square in the face. Domon then attacks a guard, taking his sword and threatening to shoot if they so much as breathe. The big guy spots one of the guards aiming at Domon's back and attacks, pushing Domon aside and out of harms way. In the confusion, he told Domon they will escape tomorrow and got up at once. When the big guy got up, dozens of guards gang up on Domon, beatinghim with their batons. The green-haired woman stands afar watching all this and wonders what he is up to. That night, Domon's cellmate reveals his surprise at seeing the big guy here. Domon, thinking about what Argo said earlier ask his cell mate if he wants to escape with him tomorrow. The guy laughed, disbelief etched all over his face.

Outside, Rain huddles in the core lander still unable to do anything without knowing Domon's whereabouts. Outside, the snow seemed to grow harsher by the minute.

The next day, all prisoners are again lined up. Domon and his cellmate meet up with Argo. Argo stops at a certain point and punch a hole in the wall, grabbing a tube, then there's explosion all over the place which sets off the alarm, distracting the guards. With this they make out their escape, riding a jeep through the frozen lake. Behind them, Russia battle cruiser catches up and the jeep turns over. Amidst the fire, Argo stands up to reveal himself as Neo-Russia's gundam fighter. The green-haired woman smiled saying it is good of Argo to bring Domon out to the open to reveal his gundam. She then orders for Gundam Bolt, intending to do the fighting, controlling it with some remote control. To the woman's surprise, Argo insisted on doing the fighting on his own.

On cue Rain comes in and relinquishes the core lander for Domon's use. Domon, now convinced that Argo is the spy prepares to fight.

They fight, with Argo doing his bearhug move again on Domon. But this time, Domon escapes. In the end Domon does the Shining Finger on Argo trying to protect the gundams head by blocking it with one hand, which of course got smashed in the process. The woman is surprised at their defeat.

The fight is over, Domon's cell mate tells of Argo's story. He was once a pirate whom Neo-Russia caught. Now he is forced to fight as a gundam fighter in exchange for his friend's freedom. With this Argo and his entourage moves on, planning on a new strategem to defeat their opponents.

Domon asked his new friend what he is going to do now that he is free. He said he has no idea because the world is like a ring that imprisons him. Domon quietly agrees saying he is a prisoner too and the earth is his prison.

        THE END

Crawford's Comments

Argo's story, the last of the rival gundam fighter to befriend our moody hero. What can I say, he's the only one of the four you can probably take seriously. Fights real good and scary-like. Even has a very good back story. A pirate, space pirate ahem. But he doesn't look like your regular Captain Harlock. He's got muscle enough to get him out of that category. Plus, he looks intensely wise enough to ever fit the big and bumbling. Back to his story, its interesting to see how Neo- Russia could keep this fighter under their control. Of course there's the bomb strapped to his chest and his friends freedom as incentive, but still . . . And yeah, the green-haired girl looks good. Funny to witness Argo, bulk and all, submitting to this woman. hard not to imagine seeing she's not the simpering type. What else, oh yeah, we see Rain complaining about Domon. i guess the George de Sand episode is the pits for her. And of course, Domon's comment about being a prisoner gives some sort of promise of an underlining plot. Good, it could use a little revelation to get me going.
