Episode 4:    Izashoubi! Shinko no BARA no kikoushi
                   ( )

Again, the first scene is Stalker telling the history of the gundam fight. In this episode its Gundam Rose versus Shining Gundam.

The setting is at France, two gundam's are fighting by the river. One is Neo-France's Rose Gundam and the other is...I have no idea who it is. On top of them there's a blimp hovering with a blonde girl and a manservant watching over the fight. Now as they're about to charge each other and say the "Gundam Fight, Ready....", Shining Gundam appears from under the other fighter knocking his gundam over. Domon says he wants to fight George de Sand, Neo-France's gundam fighter but if necessary he'll take on both of them. But George smiling tells him that the gundam convention clause number 6 says that one fight at a time. Just then the other fighter charges at Domon, enraged at Domon's belittling him. Domon just knocks him out. Then Domon charges towards George who just dodged him. Then Domon fell on his knees and notices that there's a rose embedded on his right arm. George tells him that he refuses to fight with a barbarian and leaves.

Now, we see a sort of mansion where thre's a party. The princess Maria Louise is sorrounded by her beaus. She sees George the Sand going to the balcony and hurries after him. George keeps praising his gundam which is just outside the mansion and shows it off at the princess. The princess seems a bit irritated that George appears more interested in his gundam than at her.

Next, we see a sort of monument in France where the roads branch off it from a circle. But under it, we see the Shining Gundam being repaired by Rain. Rain wears a bit of celluloid on her right arm as she fixes the Gundam's arm which was damaged by George. Domon is looking at a monitor which shows Carot, Neo-Japan's prime minister. Carot's lecturing Domon that Neo-France has sent a complaint to Neo-Japan about Domon's interference in the match. Carot then tells him to proceed immediately to Russia as ordered by Urube. Domon tells Carot to mind his own business and throws a bottle at the monitor and wrecking it. Rain tells him that they should follow Urube and have he forgotten why they were there. Domon ignores her and leaves.

Back at the mansion, the princess looks at her reflection in her room's vanity. She writes a G with her lipstick in the mirror and sighs.

After awhile at a cafe, the princess is having coffee wearing inconspicous clothes. The waiter brings in her coffee and gives her the bill. Maria Louise search her pockets and finds none and just smiles at the waiter. The waiter look irritated and was about to shout at her when the gundam fighter that George de Sand was fighting before Domon showed up payed the bill. He has with him some other thugs and he's threatening the princess. But then Domon shows up and beat all the thugs and the gundam fighter. Maria Lousie looks glad to see Domon and says good he's there.

Back at the French mansion, there is an uproar...the princess is missing. They searched her room and saw a J written with red lipstick on the mirror. so, they know it's from Neo-Japan.

At Domon's hideout, Maria Louise tells both Domon and Rain that she left a note for George telling him that Domon has kidnapped her and that if he wants her back he'll have to fight him first. Rain tells Domon not to consider it since they could be eliminated from the fight and be charged with kidnapping. But Domon ignoring Rain again, agrees with the princess and then locks Rain in the bathroom.

Domon ties up the princess at a post and waits for George to arrive. Maria Lousie wrote a letter to George, and signed it to appear to come from Domon, telling him where to find them and rescue the princess. When he arrived on his gundam, they start to fight. Meanwhile, Rain has managed to escape from the bathroom and head out to where the fight is. She sees the princess tied up and tries to free her but Domon tied it too tight. The princess is gushing that George is there to rescue her and that he is fighting for her. Domon and George are still duelling with swords when George says he is fighting for himself and for his honor. Domon then manage to rid Rose Gundam of its fencing sword. George smilingly tells Domon that that was the first time anyone has rid him of his sword. He then use his Rose Scream. A number of roses fly out and shoots Domon with beams. Shining Gundam runs but the roses form a shield around it and sort of electrocuted Domon. Domon used the Shining finger and shoots at the top of the shield. The blasts blows out all the roses. The explosion causes the tower near the girls to collapse. George notices that the tower is gonna fall on Rain and Maria Louise who is still tied up to the post. He rushes off to them. Domon asks him if he's running away and grabs Rose's head. Rose shouldered the falling tower so as not to fall on the girls. Domon then realizes what George has done. George says that he's one duty as a cavalier is to protect his country's princess and angrily tells Domon that he has forfeited the match.

Next we see, Domon and Rain at a cafe talking to George. Rain asks George how he knew the kidnap was a set-up. George smilingly tells them that it was simple. How can a Japaneses write in French. Hearing that, Domon chokes on the coffee he's drinking. When George has left, Rain asks Domon if he'll do the same thing if she's been kidnap. Domon got up and smiled at her and did not give her an answer. Rain irritated shouts his name.

        THE END

Shiro's Comments

I like this episode, not because of George the Sand, who is IMHO looks a bit stuffy but because I get to laugh at Domon for being such a fool. First, how come he became a gundam fighter without knowing that you shouldn't butt in the fight of others much less try taking them all at the same time. Typical macho guy tactics again. I felt a bit good when George refused to fight with him and wreck the Shining Gundam's arm.
Also, when you're in love with a guy whose more interested in his Gundam, what do you do...try to make him admit he cares for you....how.... by planning your own kidnap what else...but did it reveal anything..yeah...that the guy you want to declare himself to you actually declares he's fighting for HIMSELF and his family's honor.
Domon again proves that he's a one track guy...if your partner does not agree with your plan of forcing another fighter to fight what do you do...definitely NOT lock her up in the bathroom.... Also, he's too consumed with the fight that he forgots that there are people, Rain and Maria Louise, close by that could get buried under the Eiffel Tower but thank goodness George wasn't.
Okay, what I really liked about this episode is the scene by the cafe in the end. Domon looks cute when he tries evading Rain's question of will Domon also try to save her when she's been kidnap..Domon smiled and leaves much to the annoyance of Rain who wants a clue to his feelings....Hey, hasn't she learned anything from Maria Louise's plottings. Next episode, Rain tries on Maria Louise's plans.
